Leadership Seminar Report - a summary and key actions
Challenges During the event attendees expressed a number of key issues and discussed the barriers to providing clinical leadership to national clinical audit programmes. These included:

Key
actions Following the event we carefully considered the viewpoints expressed and identified key actions to be taken forward, including:
The formation of a methodological working group to support audits tackling data quality challenges
Commissioning audits to be as timely as
possible in their publication cycles, ideally providing real time data access to individuals and providers
The facilitation ofa dialogue between NHS Digital and the national clinical audit community to support improved data flows
Further support to clinical leaders who are encountering difficulties in tackling outliers and their challenges
